Vaultless Terms
Terms for the Vaultless app, email aliases, mail service, account-free use, and optional recovery sign-in.
Using Vaultless
Vaultless provides separate aliases, account mail, locally protected sign-in data, security context, and recovery tools. Use Vaultless only for lawful purposes and in ways that respect other people and services.
Account-free by default
Vaultless starts without requiring a recovery account. After setup, you may add an optional recovery sign-in from the app using your trusted device and Master Key. Existing recovery accounts remain supported. New registration through the website is closed.
A recovery sign-in does not replace the Master Key and cannot, by itself, recover the local password vault.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your device, both parts of the Master Key, recovery phrase, shared mail keys, and backup files secure.
- Keep a current recovery method before replacing, resetting, or losing a device.
- Review generated or filled information before using it on another service.
- Follow the rules of any outside website, app, carrier, or mail provider you use with Vaultless.
Mail, aliases, and abuse
Do not use Vaultless for spam, phishing, harassment, impersonation, malware, automated account abuse, unlawful activity, or attempts to hide harmful conduct. Outbound mail requires a verified independent contact address and is subject to recipient and time-based limits.
Vaultless may pause or restrict aliases, sending, mailboxes, compatibility accounts, or service access after repeated bounces, spam complaints, or other abuse signals to protect users, recipients, and the mail domain.
What Vaultless can and cannot complete
Vaultless can prepare and save an alias, password recipe, and matching credential. You are responsible for creating or updating the account on the outside service and confirming that service accepted the change. AutoFill and browser helpers can fill information but do not submit forms.
Mail delivery, carrier tracking, breach-source records, platform extensions, and outside services depend on systems Vaultless does not control. Their own terms and availability may also apply.
Contact support
Ask about these terms or report misuse. Do not include a password, Master Key, recovery phrase, shared mail key, or backup file.
